On August 13, 2019, I released my very first children’s book, What If We Were All The Same!—a story that would go on to shape my life in ways I could have never imagined.
Today marks six incredible years since I began this journey—not just as a children’s author, but as someone with a mission to change the world one book at a time.
When I wrote What If We Were All The Same!, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I only knew that children deserved stories that reflected the beauty of their differences. I wanted kids everywhere to know that they mattered—that their skin, their abilities, their challenges, and their uniqueness made them special. What began as a message of inclusion quickly became a movement.

Over the past six years:
My books have reached thousands of homes and classrooms around the world.
I’ve had the honor of visiting schools, reading to eager little faces who remind me why I do what I do.
And I’ve heard from parents, teachers, and children whose lives were touched by a simple but powerful question: What if we were all the same?
I’ve faced obstacles. I’ve been told “no” more times than I can count. But I never stopped. Because this work is bigger than me, it’s about creating books that help kids feel seen, loved, and valued—no matter who they are.
💜 So today, I celebrate the book that started it all—and every little reader, parent, teacher, and supporter who’s helped keep this dream alive.
