Why I Wrote What If We Were All Curious! and Why You Should Pre-Order Today

As an author, people often ask me where my ideas come from.

For the What If We Were All™️ series, the answer is simple: I write the books I wish every child would read to help them regulate and develop into kind, caring human beings.

With each story, I focus on a theme, trait, or life skill that can help children become kinder, more confident, and more compassionate. But when it came time to write the next book in the series, I knew I wanted to celebrate something that every child already possesses—curiosity.

Children are naturally curious. They ask questions that make us smile, challenge us to think, and sometimes even leave us searching for the answer ourselves. Instead of seeing those endless “why” questions as interruptions, I believe they’re opportunities. Every question is a chance to learn something new, solve a problem, or discover a passion that could shape a child’s future.

That’s why I wrote What If We Were All Curious!

This book introduces young readers to the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through playful rhymes, vibrant illustrations, and the simple idea that asking questions is where every great discovery begins. Whether a child dreams of becoming a scientist, engineer, astronaut, veterinarian, artist, or inventor, curiosity is the first step on that journey.

But this book is about more than STEM.

It’s about giving children the confidence to wonder, explore, make mistakes, and keep asking questions—even when they don’t know the answer yet. Some of the greatest discoveries in history began with someone who was simply curious enough to ask, “What if?”
