At C.M. Harris Books, we strive to provide quality children’s books that bring joy and education to young readers. However, we understand that sometimes returns are necessary. Please review our return policy outlined below:
1. Eligibility:
• To be eligible for a return, the book must be purchased directly from C.M. Harris Books.
• The return must be initiated within 21 days from the date of purchase.
2. Condition of the Book:
• The book must be in its original condition, unopened, and unused.
• It should be free from any markings, writing, or damage.
• The original packaging, including any accompanying materials or accessories, should be included.
3. Return Process:
• To initiate a return, please contact our customer support team via email at books@cmharrisbooks.com.
• Provide the order number, book details, and reason for the return.
• Our customer support team will guide you through the return process and provide further instructions.
4. Return Shipping:
• The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part.
• We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure the safe arrival of the returned book.
5. Refund or Exchange:
• Once we receive and inspect the returned book, we will notify you of its status.
• If the book meets the eligibility criteria, you may choose between a refund or an exchange for an alternative book of equal value.
• Refunds will be issued using the original payment method within 7 business days after the return is processed.
6. Exceptions:
• Personalized or custom-made children’s books are non-returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect or error.
• E-books and digital downloads are non-refundable once they have been accessed or downloaded.

3. Limited Liability
While the Company strives to provide high-quality services, we cannot guarantee the success, popularity, or commercial viability of any author’s published work. The Company’s services are intended to provide guidance, support, and professional expertise, but the ultimate success of an author’s book lies in its content, market appeal, and various external factors beyond our control.
4. Indemnification
Authors who engage the Company’s services agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or in connection with their published work, including but not limited to copyright infringement, defamation, or any other legal claims. The author acknowledges that they are solely responsible for the content of their book and any consequences resulting from its publication.
5. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Authors retain full copyright ownership of their original works. The Company does not claim any ownership rights over the content provided by authors for the purpose of publishing and preparation services.
6. Confidentiality
The Company acknowledges the confidential nature of an author’s work and will take reasonable measures to protect the privacy and confidentiality of any materials shared during the provision of services. The Company will not disclose or distribute any confidential information to third parties without the author’s explicit consent, except as required by law.
7. Payment and Refunds
The fees for the Company’s services will be communicated to the author before the commencement of any work. Payment terms and methods will be mutually agreed upon. Refunds will be provided only in exceptional circumstances, and the decision for a refund will be at the Company’s discretion.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the provision of services at any time by providing written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, any outstanding fees for work completed shall be payable.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the provision of services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.
10. Modifications
